X-Mas loot!

So, I got Torchwood Season 1 for X-mas! It made me squee mightily and dance wildly. Will be avidly watching for the next five weeks. Again, and again, and again.... Also got lots of socks, which were much needed. Surprisingly, no quarters for laundry. Oh, a snow tube, for when I go back to my school. New clothes with x-mas money, and new slippers, and.... Oh, went shopping today, and got snowpants, ski gloves, a ski/snowboarding helmet and goggles, and a nice ski jacket. For fairly good prices.
Did not get a white x-mas, despite being in Buffalo, NY. It rained. Snowed a little today, but not much. Hoping for snow tonight, as that would mean we might actually get snow before we head back to NC. Anywhosle, I've been eating too many x-mas cookies, and poteca, which I made with my Grandma and Sister, and other sweet stuff, so I'm buzzing right now.

Date: Dec. 27th, 2009 09:22 pm (UTC)Worked yesterday. Got my ass kicked royally. Working again today. Truck schedule says again, I will get my ass kicked royally. I'd actually wanted to go to bed since an hour after I got home last night, but in reality I got shortchanged on sleep because Mom wanted to meet for breakfast before she drove back to Arkansas, and since I'm the weirdo who sleeps all day when the rest of the world is up and productive... yeah, got tired of trying to keep my eyes open (because I knew that if I laid down I wouldn't get back up) so I called her at 6 and woke her up and said "can we move this up? I'm sleepy." And wonder of wonders, but when we got to the restaurant we called a truce on sleep schedules.
It's been nasty cold lately, and rainy, but no snow.

Date: Dec. 29th, 2009 04:56 am (UTC)Back in NC, and of course, it snowed the night before we left NY, so there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground, which would have been enough to make a snowman. Drove through lots of snow on the way there, and back, but of course it actually snows there when/after we leave. **mutters about stupid lake effect snow**
