Well, if it has little blue/purple flowers on it, you're good. That's vinca, otherwise known as periwinkle(because that's the color of the flowers). If it's trying to climb walls/trees/everything you should keep an eye on it and whack it back if it gets too high. It's like, yeah, it makes a nice ground cover, but the upkeep is a bear for the likes-to-climb-everything variety of vine.
