Utterly, undeniably random and geeky.

I want to hear John Barrowman singing "Puttin' On The Ritz" so bad.  I'm not even entirely sure why, just that I do, because it would be awesome.

Also, I should resist the urge to explore new fandoms.  The ones I have are plenty, despite the exceptionally strong urge to watch White Collar now.  Someone please tell me I should not do this.

Also, Cat!Dean has taken over my brain courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] taylor_serenil and I'm torn between begging her to write some, and writing some myself.  **headdesk**  Although, I am very excited for the new season of Dark Blue!!  Although, I should finish/post the story I've been writing, but I'm a bit lost as to a title for it.  I'm very bad at titles.  And I really want to get this thing posted, so I can stop agonizing over tiny little mistakes and futzing with it and actually get around to writing the second chapter, even though I don't even have a title for the whole thing yet.

And I need to work on the CSI story that [livejournal.com profile] jetpack_angel  said I could write in her We Don't Die universe, except that Grissom doesn't make a very good muse, because he doesn't talk, he just notices things, and Nick get's really nervous about the most random things to get nervous about, and it's really annoying.  And Greg rambles like me, because he gets excited/nervous/worked up in any way and that's just what he does.  **Bangs head against wall**

In other words, my head is a very noisy, but very unproductive place.

*tempt tempt* White Collar is a pretty good show. The crimes are reasonably clever, but what I'm the biggest fan of is that Agent Peter Burke has been married to his wife El for a decade and they're still completely and totally in love with each other. I mean, how often do you see a law enforcement show with anybody happily married? But Peter/El/Neal is so my OT3 for that show, because the slashiness between Neal and Peter is almost as pronounced as the John/Rodney was on Stargate: Atlantis but I couldn't bear to think of anything coming between Peter and El. *tempt tempt tempt*

Yeah, one reason why I never wrote anything for CSI:LV is that while I love Grissom to bits, he either says nothing or he goes on this long and strangely intricate spiel kinda like Marshall from In Plain Sight, although quite a bit more random. Take your time with it. I haven't gotten anything from Mac or Danny in a while, which makes me sad. And I really hate to say it but I might not get anything from them for an even longer time if all the spoiler posts on [livejournal.com profile] faylinn_drake's page for NY s7 are true.

AUGH!!! I said tell me not to get into White Collar!!

It's really annoying because while the others can be grudgingly prodded into being productive, it's nearly impossible to prod Grissom.

I know. Grissom just gives you that slightly bewildered look and then goes back to whatever he was doing. Mac was actually the same way, at first.

I need to figure out what I can use to get him moving on stuff. Would be very helpful.

I think you need to train him. Write something about bugs, and then when he starts getting all chatty suddenly switch over to the story.

Did you do something similar with Mac? Because I'm thinking that might actually work. :D Helps that I went through a bug phase when I was little. Might still have the books sitting around somewhere.

No, with Mac, I basically just had to wait for him to mellow out to me (and Danny), and he was hard to pin down hobbies for.

Yeah, I guess in that sense I'll have it easy. Grissom will go on for ages about bugs if you let him. Which, ok, yeah, would get a bit old if you weren't just as interested, but I don't know that he'll be willing to switch onto a new topic so much. Especially if I show interest.

Btw, I hate you. That said, I'm grinning like a fool because White Collar is so damn amusing and awesome! I could cheerfully kill you right now, but I'd just bring you back so to watch White Collar with me.
