So this is my review of CSI: NY 606, so in fair warning, if you haven't seen it yet, don't read under the cut, becasue HERE BE SPOILERAGE!  There.  If you haven't watched and you spoil it for yourself, don't blame me.  I warned you.

Ok, so this is mostly just a running commentary of my thoughts throughout the episode.

Ok, talking body. That’s only happened once in CSI-verse that I’ve seen, and that was talking bodies, plural, and part of the storytelling method. (CSI episode 703, "Toe Tags")

Hawkes, you know better than to not speak up about having encountered a victim before.

YES! Mac reminding his people that they can and should go to him if something is wrong.

Hawkes, how do you find the time to do your regular job and do medical response in central park?

Good grief! Hawkes, you’re a DOCTOR! You should know that things aren’t always as they first appear, and a quick exam doesn’t always reveal what could be wrong with your patient. And I can’t wrap my mind around him being terse with a patient, no matter how brief the interaction was.

YAY MAC!! Good thing for you to remind Hawkes that things happen, and you can’t always change the course of events.

EWWWW. Jeez, doesn’t look like a noodle, looks like a worm.

Yay for Sid doing his own research.

Groan. Gotta love Sid and his corny jokes.

Hawkes, you’re better at your job, sorry, jobs, than to not get the name of both people.

Lindsay, stop griping about the trouble with your job. You don’t always have enough of a trace to make multiple tests.

Ok, someone find me a good razor or a pair of scisors, so I can lop off that fluff on top of Danny’s head.

Heh, hobble his way over.

At least Flack’s shirt fits him a little better. Those white ones were all about two sizes too big. Looks a lot better because it’s not hanging off him.

Adam-giggle!

And Stella and Flack’s faces during the explanation, Freaking priceless.

Flack looks both confused and grossed out.

Stella just looks amused.

Ok, that looks gross. Waste of perfectly good food.

Flack looks like he wants to be sick.

Stella looks like she can’t decide how she feels about it.

HEH! Smile! Hi Danny!!

Danny looks pretty scared about what Flack’s getting up to.

What is he using his cane for to pick up evidence? He knows better. No telling what all his cane has come in contact with.

Adam’s surprise at the Ka-foom was pretty priceless.

And good response turning off the Bunsen burner so fast.

And he said “boom”. He’s been hanging out with Danny a bit much.

GC/MS bad idea reminder, and a suggestion about how to figure out what’s in the OJ.

Stella notices Adam’s stressing out.

OCD RANT, Adorable.

Of course he’s upset she moved some things around. He’s OCD. He HAS to have things a certain way, or he goes crazy.

Ohhh, nice ride.

And Why isn’t Hawkes staying with someone from the lab?

Ant-chalk. And Lindsay must do demonstration.   Back label says: “Kills cockroach and ant effectively. Keep away from baby and old man.” **giggles** heh, gotta love Chinglish.

Danny notices Hawkes is clearly not alright, trys to get him to tell him what’s going on, and Hawkes brushes him off. What? If anyone would understand personal life problems, seeping into the lab, it’s Danny. Hello, Tanglewood.

“I am getting hungry.” Danny, you’re always hungry.

And we look up….(cheesy)

Orange pulp in plastic wine glasses- Screwdriver. I knew that before he sniffed it.

Oh, someone had some fun on the rooftop.

Cute shoes. Well, shoe.

Yay for group case review.

Rocket fuel. Causes unnatural hemophilia. Well, Hemophilia isn’t natural anyways, but.

And we run through the events leading up to the vic’s death.

Heh, they were having case review without Lindsay.

And Mac comes to a realization… Tracy was probably poisoned too.

Yay for Mac not letting the maintenance guy get electrocuted.

Bleeding from orifices.

And again with the talking dead person.

And Hawkes getting annoyed, while Mac is trying to support him and believe him but he's finding it harder and harder.

Yay for Sid coming up with a possible way to figure out a timeline.

And Danny letting him stick around to watch things happen was a great idea.

They should have labeled the pitcher to make sure no one drank from it.

**mentally runs through the math** Makes a little sense, but they don’t give me enough of the numbers to really calculate it. Damn it.

“RepoLux” tours? Repossessed luxury?

Heh. Stella’s using Flack’s desk, methinks.

Pen. Brilliant. Lots of prints though. Hard to extract them all from each other.

Mac goes to Stella for advice.

Stella’s not sure what to say? Here we go. Now she…. They’re, on a roll. Good thing that Mac and Stella are recognizing how much the team relies on each other. There’s still hope one of them will realize how things are falling apart.

And Mac knows that if you have a dangerous job, and no joke, being CSI is a very dangerous job, you have to have a lot of faith and trust and high expectations in the rest of your team, because you have to know that they’ll have your back, and that they know you’ve got theirs.

EEP!!!! Ok, I jumped when they busted the door in.

What? Hawkes’ friend is charged with grand larceny? I thought he was a better judge of character. Well, there was that one friend who asked him to destroy the thumb drive… because Hawkes owed him because his dad paid for Hawkes to get through school.

And Flack is definitely trying to remind Hawkes that he can talk to the people at the lab and himself about anything. In his own way.

“I’m done” NOOOO!! Flack doesn’t just give up on his friends. He’s not the kind of guy to just give up.

Mac is so ready to lecture him. And he sees right through him too.

What the hell? Hawkes is not acting like Hawkes. Especially when his friends remind him that they are there for him whenever he needs their support.

Mac wants to go digging through Hawkes personal stuff to get to the bottom of why Hawkes’ attitude is so off, and why he’s hiding something big.

Stella science giddiness!

Ah. The killer’s wife works at a cancer research lab w/ access to dimethylnitrosamine.

And here’s the big chase scene. Go Hawkes! And Mac!

Damn Flack. What do you think yelling “What you are doing is very dangerous” will do? He’s trying to kill himself.

And here’s Hawkes with why he’s been so off, and rather more distant than Hawkes has ever been.

And Mac is watching those hands on the railing.  He can see what’s going to happen.

And Mac is kinda annoyed with Hawkes now.

Good reaction when he tried to make the jump.

Hawkes, your friends would have given you help, let you stay with them, rather than let you stay with people you barely knew anymore.

Aww, Stella. You better make sure that things don’t fall apart for your friends, when they don’t see any way out anymore. At least those three will be better now. I hope.

YES MAC!! “Hey. I’ve got an extra room.” *tosses keys* “It’s not up for discussion.”

And Stella understands Mac enough to realize that he’s trying to tell Hawkes that he really can go to Mac with any kind of problem. Or any of the rest of the team, and that they will be there for him..

On a completely unrelated note, I should not stay up all night, no matter what all kinds of interesting conversations I may be having with [personal profile] jetpack_angel, because it just makes it almost impossible for me to stay awake in my 9 AM calculus class.  And then when I take a nap at 3 in the afternoon, I sleep until 10:45, at which point all the food places on campus are closed, and I don't feel like asking anyone to drive me to Cookout, or Wendy's, or ordering pizza, so I end up having one of those ready to heat individual ravioli things. And a soda, because the machine downstairs was out of milk.
