Seriously.  I feel like I got run over by a mack truck.  My shoulders are on fire.  Or rather, I feel like someone smashed a railroad spike through my shoulder.  And my hips have gone all wonky.  And I haven't been sleeping well, because my bed isn't that great, and I'm generally unhappy with my life.  Not to mention the three page paper I have to write by tuesday.  Shitty.  And I hate candy commercials.  Or commercials for anthing tasty.

Also, I really need to stop watching Stargate and reading Stargate fics.  And similarly with NCIS.  Becasue the characters I currently have in my head: Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, L.J. Gibbs, and Tony DiNozzo.  And O'Neill and Gibbs are arguing.  Which, thinking about it, would explain the splitting headache I've had.
Admitedly, it started out being fairly amusing having 2 alpha males trying to outdo each other in my head, especially when Daniel tried to get Jack to leave things alone.  Tony was just amused.  But now, I really just wish they would stop.  But Daniel's given up, and Tony is occasionally egging them on.
Really, I should just take it easy on the crime dramas.  Because certain characters stick with me.  And turn into my muses.  My roomie is constantly calling me a geek, which I can't deny.  Although, the last time, it wasn't for CSI, or CSI: NY, or NCIS, or even Stargate. It was for watching Sanctuary.  Admittedly, I was watching a marathon on SyFy, but I was doing other things.

I think I'm done now.

Good to know I'm not the only one with more muses than I know what to do with. Don't you just hate it when they start taking cheap shots at each other? Or whenever they taunt you with images but don't give you the words to write them down?

The pain you described sounds a lot like my knee on bad days. What's up with your shoulder?

Indeed. Most of mine just end up bickering/glaring at my own characters, which spawns an entirely new set of ideas in the first place. Especially when my characters start pointing out things that they think are obvious, but the muses are totally oblivious. Those arguments usually end up with glares and sulking, and in one of my character's cases, barely repressed violence.

Dunno what exactly is up with my shoulder. It's been wonky for years now. I'm not definitely sure about what sets it off, but intense changes in weather seems to do it. As well as extreme weight or tucking it up behind my back. I had a brilliant thought that it's from my years of figure skating. The shoulder that's affected is the one that I used for momentum in jumps and spins. It was a rather startling revelation, and a connection I think I should have made ages ago. Ego tam stulta posse est.

I've just got a cranky knee. I think I popped something out more than once during childhood but I don't know what, and I never went to the doctor for it. Now it acts up whenever the weather starts to turn bad, or if I work on it too long without resting it, in which case it'll swell and get a little fluid under it and the pain will increase and spread until it hits my hip and then hurts so badly it'll refuse to support my weight. I've started wearing a knee brace even when I'm not at work, and I don't know if it's the compression or just the material keeping it warm, but it seems to help. But they don't make such shoulder-braces, do they?

Sorry, my Latin only consists of a few choice phrases, but I love knowing what things mean in foreign languages.

Mine started acting up because of Marching band that day. Marching a mellophone for several hours in the cold is probably not the best thing for a bad shoulder. By the end of the homecoming parade, which was actually fairly short, I had no feeling in my entire arm. And then I had to play for the actual game. Even two hours between the parade and the start of the game didn't help. Almost blacked out from the pain getting up into my seat in the stands. Spent most of the game with a bag of ice on my shoulder. A leaky bag of ice, so not only was I in pain, but I had ice water dripping down my side and arm.

I wish they did make shoulder-braces, because it's probably a combination of both compression and warmpth that helps your knee. I just numbed my shoulder and then spent the next day being reclusive and holding my heat pack on my shoulder. Which helped.

And I basically said "I can be so stupid" there. Latin is much fun. Especially when I can tell people to fuck off without them realizing what I said. Or just mutter dire threats under my breath. Not many would recognize that as Latin in the first place, although the ego would probably give it away.
