Seriously.  This shit has got to stop.  My roommate and I are not getting along.  Ok, so she likes to stay up late doing stuff, but if I stay up late doing stuff, she gets annoyed, because she's a light sleeper.  She has like, no morning classes, and I do, and my bedshaker wakes her up even though the actual alarm volume is off.  And she gets annoyed because on the two days when I don't have morning classes (Tuesday and Thursday) I still get up fairly early, but I don't leave the room for a couple hours, and my doing stuff on the computer wakes her up.  My typing wakes her up!  Not good.  Because I sleep like a damn dead thing.  And she's a super-light sleeper.  **mutters dire threats**  And I'm sick.  Which makes things even harder.  Because I've come to the realization that when I'm sick I turn into a cat.  I just want to curl up, be petted, and nap.  And she's sick too, but still damnably freaking peppy!  It's weirding me out.  /bitchyness

A more coherent/less angsty post will soon follow.  In which I will talk about last weekend.

It's not that she's awful. She's honestly a nice person, but if I want to be able to stay sane, I have to get up at a fairly regular time, excluding Sunday, which is basically my sleep-the-morning-away day (Thank you, marching band all day on Saturdays in the fall). So I have 3 days where I get up at 7:20, and I'm out the door between 8:20 and 8:30, but I have two days where I'm up at 8:20, and my first class is at 12. Admittedly all the way across campus (which is pretty small, TBH) so I have to leave at 11 to be to the music building to grab my horn by 11:30 and be up at the stadium in time to get all my shit together. But I'm up at 8:20, or shortly thereafter, and puttering around the room until I figure I need to go get lunch/head across campus. But she likes to go to bed late, which is fine, I can sleep through just about anything, and fall asleep just about anywhere. Hence my alarm being a bedshaker and across the room from me. I actually have to get up to make it stop, and then I stagger out (sometimes without my glasses) to the bathroom and by the time I'm back in the room I'm moderately awake, and won't fall asleep if I lie on my bed for a bit. Which is part of my routine. WHICH I NEED LIKE, SERIOUSLY!! Routine is very important for me. But anyways, she get's woken up by my typing on my laptop, across the room from her bed, and can't get back to sleep after that. So my moving around and getting things ready? Oh, no way can she sleep through that, even though I'm trying to be quiet. It doesn't help that the hinges need some serious application of some WD-40. And so she complains to me about the typing, and the being up and in the room for so long on Tues/Thurs, and how she's one of those people who needs a lot of sleep. And in my head I'm going, "Then go to bed earlier" and getting kind of annoyed at her whining and not trying to figure out a way to deal with it. So yeah. I'm trying to find someone to switch roommates with, because this is so not working.
